HISTORY
The Settlement and Housing Alternative Resources Foundation, Inc. or SHARE for brevity, is a non stock, no profit and non- government organization, organized and existing under the Corporation Code of the Philippines.
SHARE is generally composed of people with varied experiences in socialized housing programs, social advocacy & mobilizations, community organizing & people empowerment, and technical services in engineering works & programs in up scaling or upgrading urban poor communities.
SHARE was established on August 13, 2004 by Ms. Hilaria DOmetita and Ms. Marilyn Cui who conceptualized the ideas of building this foundation and supported by Eng’r Pedrito Laviña, late Ms. Evelyn Reambillo, & late Roberto Maraño.
They are all civic leader and actively involved in building urban poor communities at the National Government Center East Side of Commonwealth in Quezon City. The late founder and President of the Share Foundation was also the founder of Samahang Nagkaisa para sa Palupa (SANAPA), a federation of 100 community based peoples organizations, and worked together with bonafide occupants at the NGC East and alongside with other people’s Organizations and non-government organization.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES:
1. Provide security of tenure on land and housing for the poor through the availment of existing socialized housing programs of the government and engage in other alternative forms of land and housing projects 2. To address the poverty situation of the poor by assisting them in accessing livelihood projects. 3. Engage them in entrepreneurship and force-saving mechanism. 4. To contribute in educating the marginalized sector by way of rendering capability building services such as non-formal or functional type of education, social consciousness, and community empowerment. |
VISION: Visioning a society of organized people socially involved in building communities with security of tenure and complete with basic needs and actively involved in the promotion of social justice, peace and development, shared responsibility, responsible, democratic and effective governance and faith in God.
MISSION: Focused on finding alternative urban poor solutions to homeless and lack of security of tenure, poverty, apathy, powerless and deprived sector of the Philippines society. |
